FLOR DEL DELTA "FLEUR FROM THE DELTA", SALT EXTRACTION AND HARVEST COMPANY SINCE 1946

On the Mediterranean coast of Spain, between the cities of Valencia and Barcelona, we find the Natural Park of the Ebro River Delta; it is the second most important Wetland in the whole Western Mediterranean and one of the few near wild coastal environments. A protected area populated solely by birds, most of them threatened with extinction. Salt extraction in this unique landscape began in the XIV century and continues to grow at present in the Trinitat Salinas.

In this micro habitat, restricted to the people who live or work there, only the seagulls and flamingoes that nest in the zone have full access to it. This circumstance is essential to guarantee the harvest of a completely natural product away from any source of pollution.
